    Not to start a brand war...but why not a S&W M&P?

Then you should explain why in the first place. :)

Especially since S&W has only been making AR15's for about "3 years" now.

Bushmaster has been making them for "3 Decades"
and is the most sought after AR15 in America.

I can promise you, it's not because their cheap :D

Not to start a brand war...but why not a S&W M&P? I think it's a much better rifle for the same or less money.

Unless you're looking for something with specialty features/manufacturing processes, all of the big name ARs are about the same quality. Besides the name on the side, there's not a whole lot of difference between a Bushy, S&W, DPMS, LMT or Stag. Most of the unfinished parts come from the same places anyway.

I would check out the new DPMS that gunslinger has posted in the Firearm Classifieds.

I have shot both the Bushmaster and DPMS and they are quality guns.

He is asking a very fair price for a new rifle, with the options of optics, railed handguards, etc.

For the money, it would be hard to beat. Spend the savings on ammo.

Be careful though. Not to take away from gunslinger, but that rifle is a DPMS Low Pro.

Meaning it has No Brass Deflector and No Forward assist.

I had a friend who was interested until I pointed this out to him.

I'm waiting for the all-clear to go pick up my DPMS M4. $799.95 at the gunshow. Came out to $868 with tax. I can give you the seller's # if you're interested in going that route. Or, wait til I'm hard-pressed for money and sell mine. Out of curiosity, any reasons for wanting Bushmaster specifically?
