I'm pretty sure a cheesy family member took and pawned my Winchester model 141 .22 bolt action rifle many months ago, so it should have been put out for sale by now. The gun was a pre-68 model that lacked a serial number, as many guns of its type did before the 1968 law that required them.

I'm trying to locate who has it, in an effort to buy it back. I re-blued and refinished the gun.

One way to tell you may have my old gun is that the screws that hold on the trigger guard are larger than usual, as the original small screws had stripped out.

Another way to tell is that the rod through the stock feeds the bullets too far up into the action and it jams on the bullet. I was going to have it worked on and was just shooting it single-shot before the gun was taken.

A third way to tell would be the scope it had on it, which may have been removed, but it was an old Weaver 7/8 inch scope that was adjustable between like 3X and 6X (can't remember exactly, as I just kept it on 4X). The scope did not flare out in the front but was a straight tube with only the ocular being bigger than the scope body. I had scope rings that allowed you to use the iron sights, as well. They were 1 inch rings, so I wrapped the scope tube at the points I mounted it with black, electrical tape and miked the wrappings to 1 inch.

I mainly want to buy the gun back for sentimental reasons, as it was passed on to me from my grandfather on my mom's side.

    Thanks,
    Shane
