No; it doesn't have to say 6.8 I just want a quality lower; I plan on building one to use for deer hunting next year so I want it to be reliable.

check out Spikes Tactical. they have stripped multi-cal lowers for $84. great quality lowers. just built a RRA 6.8 upper on a spikes lower. great fit. just a thought
