Funding a new project. Need to sell my 20" Standard Heavy A2 Barrel Chrome Moly, DSC 1:9 Twist with 1/2-28 threaded muzzle. Comes with barrel nut, triangular handguard cap, front sight housing with bayonet lug and gas tube. DOES NOT INCLUDE Sight Post, front sling swivel and Flashhider. Only 20 rounds down the barrel. $190

What are the markings on the barrel?
They should be on top of the barrel, in line with the sights.

They usually tell you barrel twist rate, manufacturer, type of barrel (CHF=Cold Hammer Forged), chrome lined or not. The basics. Any one of these acronyms, or the lack thereof, can determine the actual value of the barrel to potential purchasers. Also important is if it is threaded or not and the pitch of the thread. (Usually 1/2 x 28 is standard for flash suppressors, but a point of note is never thread a silencer onto a standard 1/2 x 28 thread unless it was put there specifically for silencer attachment since the threads may not be concentric to the bore and you'll have a baffle strike.)

Barrel markings show it is stamped with Double Star Corporation's initials. But could be manufactured by Wilson. I believe Rock River Arms installs these on their uppers. It also indicates the 1:9 twist. But does not specifically indicate Nato 5.56. The thread is definitely the standard 1/2 x 28. I believe it is chrome moly but not chrome lined.
