I'd say Trey Yuen and 5 Happiness. China Doll on Manhattan is very good but not great. I have noticed that many so-called "Chinese" place all seem to taste the same - like they buy everything from the same source pre-packaged.

I used to love China Doll. It was disappointing the last 2 times I went.

They do all order from the same place. I've handled insurance claims on Chinese restaurants before. The receipts they turn in are in chinese so they don't help me much!

China House on Manhattan is good. Down between NTB & Waffle house near Lapalco. We have been going there over 30 years.

You have ruined my day, thanks! i had no idea. Trey Yuen was our go to Chinese place despite being an hour away. Baton Rouge has nothing to offer either.

They all taste the same, and IMO not so appealing -- although my wife does like the crab legs at one restaurant in Walker.

Yummy Yummy on N. Carrollton in NOLA!
I love cheap Chinese/American food.....especially the little hole in the wall mom n pop places.
Modern "asian fusion" restaurants suck. Nothing like greasy, artery clogging cheapy chinese food once in a while to make the soul happy!

Little Chinatown is as good or better than Five Happiness (they're pretty close) but its less expensive. Not as fancy, but I'm there for food not fancy.

Lucky Garden in Belle Chasse is currently number 1

Little China was number until their originals cooks left to open their own place "Hong Minh"

Hong Minh = the best roasted pig in the south ( better than Htowns sinh sinh)
