I don't think the CC companies refund you out of their own resources. They charge back to the merchant's account. And since the court has surely seized the accounts of AFFS, etc., it is highly unlikely that approach will be successful.

This is thing that gets me is doesn't banks have insurance for this type of thing right?

I've known Roger for over 20 years. His character is unquestionable. He was just as blindsided as the rest of the employees when everything went down. He's been told by LE and Atty's to STFU while the case progresses, and it is killing him to not be able to set the record straight! So in the mean time we have an arrested owner with nothing left to lose grasping at straws trying to lay blame and save his worthless ass, and blackwater, who (no offense) may not always be very clear with the point he may be trying to get across.

what do you need cleared up?

Just a thought in case it has not been mentioned yet.....If anyone paid him with a credit card...I think you can get your money back by filing a claim with the credit card company.

Visa and Mastercard will refund you your money in cases when services or products are not delivered. For consignments...no help there, but for deposits which were paid with a credit card...You can get your money credited to you. Its a bit drawn out...But contact the issuer and file a claim.

I'm going down that road. If this were a charge that you had no part of it is a "cut and dry" case and the dispute is handled promptly. When the card holder goes to a place of business and physically signs the purchase receipt then a few more layers of investigation needs to happen before the disputed charge is dropped. My Credit card company asked for a police report and any other supporting documentation I could get my hands on.

Also, there was some talk about Roger. He was my salesperson and was very helpful....if there was ever any sort of deceit on his behalf then he has the most incredible way of hiding it. I can spot a dishonest person 99.9% of the time and my gut feeling tells me Roger didn't have a clue of what was going on behind the scenes.

I keep calling the number for the detective and leaving massages and nothing.

When I spoke with the detective a couple of weeks ago he told me he was going on vacation starting March 7th, so that may be why you are not hearing anything.
