And yet, it's not exactly a widespread epidemic, is it? But I guess that it's pretty obvious that it's Obama's fault, though

You are right, t's not his fault! It is however, yet another glaring example of why this knucklehead should have never been in charge of ANYTHING in the first place. I don't think this pretender really cares if America has an epidemic or not. He probably believes he is immune to such an inconvenience as this.

How dare the safety and concern of the American people interrupt his 8 year vacation.

1 or 2 or 4... hey no big deal. . Let a couple hundred become infected then you'll see some buttholes pucker. Don't worry folks it will spread. Idiots in direct contact with the disease and then not having the good sense to know not to get into confined spaces with others that are unaware... oh Yea it will surely spread and probably faster than most think.. Hell just a month ago the idiot in the Whitehouse said it would be very rare for it to make it to the US. Yea that was spot on..

You don't think 1 case is rare?

Oh trust me, I don't think Obama is competent enough to run a Popeyes, much less the highest office in our country. However, I think that the only reason Ebola is a big sensational story right now is because it gives people another excuse to blame the government boogeyman for something.

You think that NBC, ABC, CBS, PBS, MSNBC, and NPR want to blame this administration for anything? This scare is bad for the pretender, and bodes badly for democrats with a major election less than 3 weeks away, yet these aforementioned networks are all in on reporting/sensationalizing this Ebola scare too! Hmmmm!?!

    Interesting! Isn't it?

I guess those ratings didn't matter to them on:

    1. Black Panther federal voting violation,
    2. Solyndra,
    3. Fast & Furious,
    4. IRS,
    5. Benghazi,
    6. Spying on Fox's James Rosen,
    7. Expanding the NSA data collections on civilians
    8. Eric Holder lying to Congress

They did start backing away from this train wreck they helped create with:

    1. Deserter for Taliban trade
    2. Unaccompanied children flooding the border

And they are now all in on:

I'm not too worried about that...

Ochsner, for example, has the capability and plans in place to take in ebola patients with negative pressure rooms, scrubbers, suits, equipment, etc.. I don't think they are a "level 4 biohazard facility" but I am sure there are enough competent individuals who could successfully treat patients without spreading the virus. I would imagine most other large hospitals have this capability.

Of course if there were thousands and thousands of infected people that would be another story, but as long as the CDC and treating hospitals do their best to contain the disease then the threat will eventually go away.

Not so sure it would take thousands. . I would be willing to bet that more will than won't quit

Have there been more than one known instances of someone entering the country with Ebola?

There are only like a dozen BSL-4 labs in the US and a few dozen in the world. The requirements for BSL-4 are pretty intense. There's a good documentary somewhere on youtube detailing the layout of a bsl-4 lab

Well we don't know what we don't know.. In all seriousness Jack I hope it is only 1 and no more than that. Unfortunately I believe it will infect many more and I believe many more will come to this country infected.

Exactly, and most BSL-4 labs are for the containment of viruses being studied not for treating patients. Take a look a what predicates a BSL-4 necessity, it's for viruses that cause significant damage/death with no know treatment. In other words intense measures are taken not to release the virus amongst the populace because of the ramifications it could have.
Take the above into consideration, now add to that we have an agency who's responsibility it is to manage infectious diseases (CDC) and they cleared someone who was known to be exposed to the virus to travel...commercially at that. I agree whole-heartedly with some previous posters that this does not exactly instill confidence in their ability to manage/contain this disease.
