January is literally the biggest time in the gun industry, and y'all wanna talk about people that got banned.

I'm gonna go find that Louisiana Shooters Connection place. Y'all have fun reminiscing about the past.

While I get what you're saying, I also did a search of threads started by you. The list consisted of one thread in the new user section. January is literally the biggest time in the gun industry and you haven't started any gun discussion. You seem pretty comfortable criticizing others for not doing what you're not doing either.

I'm not bitching. I'm making observations. And I never mentioned anything about you running the show. I addressed the number of threads you started. Attempting to infer that the only way for you to start a gun related thread is if you are running the show is a logical fallacy known as retrospective determinism. By your logic, the only people who can start threads are those that are running the show.

And while I would gladly accept the offer, my department has not offered to send me to Shot Show. I suspect that almost all of the users on this board will not be attending Shot Show. That means you have roughly the same ability to gather roughly the same information about the proceedings at Shot Show as almost everyone here. That means not many, if any, of the users have any advantage over you, even with more time on this board, when it comes to sharing information on Shot Show.

You've used up all of your $10 words for today. You could have made a better attempt at a witty response with layman speak.

There are a lot of local training groups offering courses this month and in the upcoming months, but I don't see any of that posted on this board. Makes me wonder if anyone here actually gives a **** about being a responsible gun owner, or if they just wanna sell ****.

well I agree that the classifieds has taken over Bayou Shooter, I can say that out of my 600 posts in 4 years I've never sold anything here......
leadslinger972 -- I started this thread because I see the Bayou Shooter forum going down as far as the number of "informative" threads started here. I have learned a lot here from guys with far more knowledge than me on specific weapon platforms. I would invite the "newbies" to post up threads, don't be afraid of some old turd (hahaha) saying, hey that was discussed back in 2011, search the forum......no, post up! We can always use a refresher on things (but don't, for the love of all things sacred, post a thread, "can I use a .223 in a 5.56" or this will lead to a permaban! - hahaha).......

I have no doubts a few people on this board are going to Shot Show. I just don't know who is going. But if that number is 20, you're looking at over 98.6% of the active users not going to Shot Show. That's almost all of the of the active users on this board not going to Shot Show. And if you know about local training groups offering courses, you are welcome to start up a discussion about them. And if the lack of posts about gun related stuff is an indication someone doesn't give a s#!t about guns, you're opening for reasonable people to conclude, based on your posting history, to conclude the same about you.

I'm sure I could create a thread asking about the advantages of temple indexing in a vehicle, but this doesn't seem like that place where people would know what I'm talking about.

I have mentioned before the overwhelming use of classifieds and nothing else. I use to enjoy the “discussions” also but apparently that might be a thing of the last.
