Justify it however you want. Faster is faster, slower is slower, cant believe i'm even having this conversation.
If you see a problem with my justification, please point it out.

The problem is you assume that if I’m shooting fast I am missing.
I agree, practice slow and be slow. Practice being fast and be fast, it’s that simple. Why are you talking about hip firing or a retention shot from 25 yards with a pistol? Bottom line is you practice being slow you will be slow. Finding the balance between accuracy and speed and improving that by decreasing the time it takes you do a thing. Example. Draw from the holster, place 5 shots in an A zone at 20 yards while moving from point A to B. Will make you a better shooter than going to a stagnant range. If their is a problem such as a malfunction, gun empty, you fall on your face whatever pick a thing because things happen, fix the problem continue the exercise.
I never said that, but if I can and can do so safely, is it not in fact faster?

I get what your trying to convey but smooth is in no way is fast. That's like saying wet is fast. What you are saying is that if an individual cannot make effective hits they need to go smoother (slower) to balance out their skillset. You can jerk a pistol from a holster fast and not smooth and place shots on target accurately quickly. It doesn't have to be smooth to be fast and accurate. Slow is slow, fast is fast. That being said if I ever had to take a shot from 25 yards outside the flat range with a pistol you bet your ass I would take all the time I could possibly get to ensure that bullet goes exactly where I want it too.If you can do that, shooting fast would be faster. If you are unable to do that, shooting slow and smooth would be faster. Hence, slow is smooth, smooth is fast.

Okay let's talk about it. What caliber do you shoot and how often do you train in an honest capacity? Once a month once a week no wrong answer?Ammo is to expensive to shoot fast. I'd be broke in like 10 mins.
Yep. While one side will generally find it pleasing to continue, you’ll find that dropping it and going about your day to be a much better approach. There are a few here that just believe nobody can possibly come close to their abilities or knowledge, a true sign of ignorance. There’s no sense in trying to offer any different opinion or explain yourself. That’s not what they want. They want to feel important. They want to look superior. To do that they have to try to tear you down and insult you. Try to insinuate that you don’t know anything and have no experience. It can get pretty comical at times.Justify it however you want. That's exactly why I switched all my pistols over to 9mm and got away from wildcats with my rifles. I dont even buy a gun if its not in a common caliber I can find at Academy anymore.Ammo is to expensive to shoot fast. I'd be broke in like 10 mins.
