    The Nasty New Orleans.
Ok so I usualy try not to get too exited about many things that cross my path but my emotions are rampant as I sit here trying to not throw a fit like my 2 year old grandson. It all started friday when I was in Casey Johnes shopping for a few things I knew we needed at home.I grab some tomatos and work my way down the Isle to the breakfast meat.I see that they are out of my usual bacon so I get another brand and continue on shopping.Well fast foward to today.I deside to treat my girl to some breakfast so I get the eggs taters and this new bacon from the fridge(Well I got the taters from the pantry we dont keep them in the frige)and began with the cooking skills.I bust open the bacon and begin to peel the slices and put them in the pan,Now you gotta realize that Im 45 years old and have ate alot of different bacon so when I say this bacon was thincut Im not just comparing it to what I read on the internet I do have bacon experiance.I bet I could be the Nolacop of bacon if I wanted to.It was so thin that when it was cooked it fell apart and looked like bacon bits for salads.Needless to sau I couldent fully enjoy my hashbrowns and eggs because of this "motherinlaw"cut baconbit material they falsly represented as bacon for breakfast.:mad:I should have known to stick to my regular Wright brand bacon.........Im not sure but this rant may not turn off for a while.

Had the same problem last week. Screws up the whole meal.

Try Sam's Club. They have a 3 lb pack that is THICK sliced. Regular bacon, I have 5-6 slices. This stuff, I can't finish 3, 2 I'm satisfied. Pack lasts a while, too.

I'm with you brother. I couldn't give a care in the world about lunch or dinner.

Just don't mess with my breakfast. It'll screw up my entire day.

I agree. That would ruin my whole day. I love me some bacon. The thicker the better. you could wrap a turd in bacon and it would taste good.

We used to go camping outside kentwood sometime. there was a country store there that had fresh thick (like 1/4" thick!) bacon they sold in a ziplock. We'd cook it over a wood fire, then fry the eggs in some of the bacon grease. Mmmmm.... bacon......
Don't give me that thin stuff... that isn't bacon.

My wife likes turkey bacon... Needless to say I now eat cereal for breakfast.

I like thick cut bacon, and not too fatty either. Not a big fan of real crispy bacon either, you know, that cold crap that shoneys serves on their breakfast bar.

To be honest I pretty much gave up on breakfast style meat, and just started to cut up sirloin or filet and eat that for breakfast. Pan fry stips of that with some toneys, garlic powder and lee&perrins. Much better than that prepackaged jimmy dean crap. I will say the mexicans got me liking breakfast burritos, but i do them my own way. Cube up some steak, cook as listed above and throw that with some scrambled eggs and vermont white sharp cheddar chesse (tangy) in a big wheat flour tortilla. Hell make a few, they are good! I sometimes top with salsa (mild) if I am feeling so inclined.

I feel your pain brother. My wife buys turkey everything. Some of it I enjoy (Ballpark turkey dogs are awesome), and some of it I don't even notice it's turkey until she tells me. But that mother ****in' turkey bacon is garbage. And it creeps me out that they take something that has no resemblance to bacon and try to make it look like bacon.

Needless to say, we have "his and hers" bacon in the fridge. I like to think that when the fridge door is closed, my bacon spends all of its time calling her bacon homosexual slurs.
