Just went to shot a new Sks that I picked up a week ago and they told me that I had to be a member to shoot a Sks or an ak47. I asked how much is it to be a member and was told 350.00 for a yearly membership. Then I asked why I had to have a membership to shoot and he said because people act stupid with Sks's and AK's. Whats this all about?

7.62 puts a hell of a hole in block buildings when you hit the walls with it.

This is what was happening. People would go in and shoot AKs, knock holes in the wall then leave.

A few jackwagons (thanks R Lee) screw it up for everyone else. I wouldn't hold it against Precision though. They have to protect their property and guard against liability.

IMO, Sherburne is a pretty nice place to go shooting though, and I'd rather get some longer range shots than Precision can provide.

No. But if you get retarded with your ghetto broom, as a member, they can revoke your membership, and THAT will cost you.

Its not a grand conspiracy against AK/SKS fanciers, despite what some here in the past have whined about.

    .

This. That was the story I got when I tried to bring in an SKS to shoot. You might still shoot up the equipment/walls but they can ban you and keep your membership fee to cover the damage. I'd like to see the option of a cash deposit for non-members that want to shoot an AK/SKS. Pay your money, shoot your gun and as long as you weren't acting an ass you get your deposit back. But I'm not paying $350 for the privilege to shoot my gun responsibly.

From what I was told the ak was more popular with the "locals" and they would shoot the place to ****.

I'm sure this had something do with ak's being so much cheaper than ar's for a long time.
