I'm excited to see this show. I got a ruger 10/22 with one magazine no sling and a s&w model 19 with a holster and no ammo pouch (cargo pants lol) a camel back (smaller one) and a back sack that I'd hopefully put useful things into. I'm ready! I dont think i could take it as seriously as some of those people but its pretty cool to see them do it, one guy has a convoy setup for his family, 2 converted school busses and 2 pick up trucks with one towing a trailer with livestock.

I watched it last night. It was pretty good. If you have Cox go to Freezone. Then NatGeo and choose Doomsday Preppers. Even though it doesn't start till Tues you can watch it now in Freezone.

Yeah most TV carriers have an (same as in video above) episode in their ON DEMAND section for free, watched it tonight. I have one question about the 4 families shown in the 1st epi and without spoiling it for the rest of the peeps that have not seen it yet, where do they get the time and money some of them have sunk into this "lifestyle", some of these people have tons of $ invested. Wow, IE: the "ranch"

The Sniper show sucked. It was basicly a Barrett commercial and I am no longer impressed with there products. The dude in TX has good a good plan. The LA guy and Houston chick are "off".

Admittedly they have a plan where I would be with the majority and SOL.

So the ass worried about the EMP is running an EOtech on his M1A. FAIL!

that houston chick made me chuckle. her philosophy and plans were god aweful.

seems like the first episodes participants had it down now theyre just trying to find anyone and anyone so they can keep their show going

    Didn't see the show.
I have been on forums and mentioned I went through post Katrina. I evacuated but came back home within 24 hours. Not one person would ask me anything. It was as if they were more interested in what they believe will happen and not what I experienced. Go Figure.
One thing I did was run down how I handled some situations with a Lt. Col. from the Marine Corps. That was good fun. To give a perspective he had about 1250 men under him with attachments. I learned some things about how things were handled in Somalia and Afghanistan. I also have a friend that is a Lt. Col. in the NG. I hung on their every word. I let them speak fully before asking another question.

I stayed back with the military for Katrina. I watched it come thru and leave, and my unit was the first on site out on the northshore. It was crazy!!! I sent my family up north since I had to stay back and pretty much told them to stay away for a couple of weeks. I encountered alot of people that were completly lost. They had no clue how to survive for a few days without any help. We lived off of old bottled water and MRE's for several days before we found a fire station in Slidell that invited us to come eat with them. I've also been to Afghanistan and I can admit I would much rather do 5 more tours in Afghanistan or Iraq than to go thru what I saw post Katrina.
