To me, the Judge is a novelty.

They're interesting pieces to own, but I would never seriously consider it for concealed carry or even home defense.

I'm not a glock guy, but I do agree that the g19 is a VERY good gun relative to size, capacity, price, and reliability. Hard to beat really. The judge shouldn't even be in the picture unless you really didn't want a g19 and REALLY wanted a judge.

I believe it is whe whole novelty idea of it. Wuld never consider carrying for protection, unless walking through the depose with it loaded up with rat shot, for smoking the little legless demons.

I would agree with most here to get a G19 before most handguns, much less a Judge.

I'm on a mission now to own all five of Glocks' 9mm handguns.

I do love my Glocks, i have a 27 & 23 but i do love my judge too and do cary it as ccw from time to time in my bag loaded with PDX1; altho it has turned into more of a house gun since i got the sa xdm .45. Its an awesome snake gun and the variety of ammo is amazing. anywhere from rat shot to fireballs or flare to flechette. I will never get rid of my judge and i highly recommend it to everyone.

The judge is a great woods gun. My room mate has a long barreled Tracker model, and I like it as much as he does. It is perfect for pests like snakes and nutria, and he has used it to hunt squirrel and rabbit. His has a 6" barrel and is more accurate than I expected it to be. I don't care much for the snub nosed judges, but I would buy a Tracker like his in a heartbeat if I found a good deal on one.

See, that makes sense to me. I'd prefer a long gun of course, but there's plenty of merit for a pistol instead.

Glock 19 for sure.I have and prefer the 2nd generation model without the finger grooves. My hands just don't fit the later generations right.

I've also got a ruger LCP, a smith and wesson model 36, darringer .22 mag, and a nib old colt detective special (in safe keeping) so i have plenty of cch options.
But my g27 is my go to cch gun.

If you sold that "nib old colt detective special" to me you could afford both!!! :D Even if you are not selling would love to see photos.
