I am waiting until we have enough funds to buy a gun to send the info.
I will talk tomorrow to the Sponsor who is getting the gun and get all the details of what we actually NEED in funds to make this happen.
I appreciate those of you who are able to help, and Im certain the forum member who is getting the gun will beto know that some people still care.

Somebody check with Longgone. If he's willing to downgrade (read sarcasm here) from a glock, I've got an extra 5" Springfield XD .40sw with his name on it. It's no "baby" by any means, but it's gone out beyond 50 yds for me on several occasions. Best one I've had, happy to pass it on. It's even OD green like he wants

That is an extremely generous offer but we dont want another person missing a gun. Besides I think we have almost enough to buy him a replacement Glock. But if you are dead set on giving away the XD I will help you out and give it a new home

Just makes me happy to be able to help out and know that there are still plenty of good folks out there and always will be. Enjoy the new gun once you get it, don't say anything just shoot it.

That is why communities like this are so important and good to have around. We will always jump at the opportunity to help one another out and do everything we can.

Lol, sorry guys, I didn't intend to hog the benevolence. I was in on post 3 but had to do a little logistics before I hit the button. Didn't realize you all were well into page 2 already. Group effort far outweighs the individual, that's how this country started out being so great. Go team BS! Count me in for whatever we end up lacking in the end. Thanks to all for being good people.
Longgone, I've been in a situation twice in life where I've lost everything besides the clothes I was wearing, and I know I wouldn't be where I am today without the generosity of others. Take good care of your family and those mutts, do what you have to do. Bad things happen to good people, but as the group has shown here tonite, occasionally good things do come back around as well.
