      WTB: Ruger Vaquero 44mag

      Anyone have a Vaquero in .44Mag? I'm looking for a short barrel model with birdshead grips, but will take anything really - I can always change the frame and barrel out. Finish is unimportant, as it'll be a boot/woods gun.

      Just picked up an ultra-beater Python for my dad, and would like to find a set of equally beat up grips for it. As far as I know, Trooper grips will also fit these frames. As far as holsters go, this is a 4" model. Brown leather with a thumb break preferably.

      The previous set on my GSXR lasted exactly 2700 miles :D I'm on a Honda PC800 this time. I've put 500 miles on the basically new Metzelers, and they're wearing much faster than I expected for such a hard tire. I don't ride this like a Harley - and don't expect to get Harley tread life out of these.
