I tried the .17HMR thing. I bought a savage 93B with the thumb hole stock. I couldn't get the thing to shoot straight in a cross wind + ammo was a tad high and can't reload. I sold it and bought a savage 10FP .223. I love that thing. It shoots out to 500 yds. I can reload and if the SHTF my AR has plenty of ammo to share.
