    Isn't the metric system beautiful?

1 liter of water is 1000cc,

    it weighs 1000g

    and fits inside a cube of 100mm x 100mm x 100mm.

As opposed to 33.814 US fl. oz,

weighing 35.274 oz (makes sense, right?)

and taking up 61.024 cubic inches.

But, as Grandpa Simpson would say:

    Grandpa Simpson said:
I say the metric system is the tool of the Devil! My car gets forty rods to the hog's head, and that's the way I likes it!

I don't trust them kilometers, but the metric system is much better for some things. 27 and 61/64 " just does not roll of the tongue.

Lxwxh equals 3888 cubic inches, divide by 1728(the amount of cubic inches in a cubic foot) equals 2.25 cubic feet
28.3168 liters per cubic foot x 2.25 equates to 63.7128 liters

Haha. I don't. But I have a great phone app called Convert Pad that does conversions for everything from area/volume/weight to magnetic flux, impedance, frequency and even clothing size.
