That is totally normal. You’ll probably have to put 10 times that many patches down along with a good brushing. I plugged the barrel or one end and put Kroil inside and let it sit for a couple days and then drained out the Kroil, then brushed again that seem to help a lot
I’ve got an Outer’s Foul Out that uses electrolysis to remove lead or copper from a barrel. They don’t make them anymore. But you could make one yourself and they work great for C&R rifles.

It’s a different solute for the lead. The formula to make the solutes is on line. The rest of it you could make yourself.
