1st time Buffer Zone fun

Had President's Day off and flipped a coin on whether to ride my motorcycle or go shooting. Shooting won, so I gathered up some stuff and headed out to the fabled Buffer Zone. It's about 95 miles from door-to-pit for me, so I had never been before. Got there about 10:45ish and there were about 3 trucks there already. Got to meet MyRifle from BS and a few other folks. A good time was had by all and lots of ammo was spent. All in all, it's a lot of fun out there, but it is quite a haul.

Yep. It's a hell of a drive. I've done it a few times. It'd be alot more if it were closer.

I was planning on going today but I got caught up putting a sprayer tank on the 4-wheeler. I might try and get out there on Mardi Gras day, or at least maybe this sunday. Man I need to get some more 5.56 to shoot...

I went my first time this past weekend and its fun. Pretty wet, but you can work your way to get your targets without getting wet. Probably going to be soaked this upcoming weekend with the rains coming in tomorrow.
