Wrong. Stop spreading misinformation. You can buy at 18yo. Not from a FFL dealer but via private sale.

I'm not giving him any ideas. He can wait until he's 21 and get training, a license and a gun of his own. But thanks.

Why is he waiting until he is 21 to get training? He can take the training now and learn good firearms handling and tactics now. There is no good reason to wait to get training.
