"Call the police"?? Was it dealer financed or your bank? If it's yours (and the banks), what legal right does the dealer have to track you? I thought only the "rent-to-own" people did this.
My bank. The car was mine when I drove it off the lot. A lot of dealers are doing the GPS thing. People go in, sign on the dotted line and never make the first payment. I don't know the legality of GPS trackers. Maybe they just have to inform you that it's installed.

My '21 F150 5.0 tops out at 106 (theoretically :). IF I were to sell it to some shady character who wanted to go faster, what exactly would he/she need to do to accomplish this evil feat?
A tune will do it. I have a livernois tuner. Plug it in, push a few buttons and it uploads the tune.

You can also probably use forscan. That's not a performance tuner. It just allows you to make various changes.

Both are pretty simple but you should do your research.

Thanks! I'll pas this info along to the next owner.
I don't think forscan will allow you to turn off speed restrictions. But, it will certainly let you make a few minor changes to your F150.

Google your model year and forscan and you'll find a short list of cool things that you can change.

To go faster, you'll need a tune.

Surprised this is just now coming up. Much to my chagrin and negative reaction, I have had "past" acquaintances quite proudly profess to me that they habitually drive in the LEFT hand lane at the speed limit to "enforce the speed limit for safety". Those self-righteous A-Holes are everywhere... some seek to impose their fetishes on everyone.
I'll get in front of them and go way below the speed limit. Forces them to get out of the left hand lane.

This is a good way to cause some nutjob to begin road raging. Why not just go around and move on with your day?
