    has anyone done one of these,,are there any negatives,,,do you have to change the barel,or is it just the mag and the bold ??

    if i so should i bite the bullet and make a dedicated .22 or will swaping back and forth be no big deal,,,,ive read reviews,but id like to know fomr someone that did it not a sales pitch from a web sight.

    i have a couple cieners. i haven't used one but the other runs 100%. it just drops in place of the bolt carrier group.

    i guess what i was wondering is about barrel,the .22 is smaller then then.223 does it travel any in the barrel causing pitting,,,ive read it does cause excess lead buildup because of this..

    .22 causes no problems in a .223 AR, I have thousands of rounds in my rock river with no problems. After a .22 range session I usually shoot 5 or 6 rounds of .223 to blow out anything that may have found its way into the gas tube, go home and give it a good cleaning.

    Thats all there is to it. I use a standard Ceiner kit I bought a year ago. I'm doing a pistol build with a dedicated .22 upper now though, still using the ceiner kit with a custom chamber adaptor.

    Order the ST22 kit from Spikes, it makes the ciener kit look stupid, its 200.00 and comes with 1 BDM mag, all you have to do is remove your BCG and slide it in. Shoots Federal Bulk pack from walmart 550rds for 13.00
