22 tcm

Anybody here shoot the .22 tcm? I bought one when they first came out. It was one more sorry piece of-----. I finally sent it back and they sent me another one that has been a tack driver.I hope this is not hard to believe but i have killed three large hogs with it so far . I also have the 1911 chambered in .22 tcm. .22 tcm was the only ammo i could get for awhile but it was cheap. I also have the 9 mm barrel for the 1911

I don't but was always intrigued by it. At what distance did you shoot the hogs with it?

The hogs were about 100 yds in front of my house.All three were shot in the head or behind the ear. Hogs are not as hard to kill as some people say. A good head shot is the best. We always shot our meat hogs with .22 shorts,they were in a pen and we could almost touch them with the end of the barrel. It depends on were you aim.

Do they still make the rifles?
The 22 TCM will do 2000-2100fps out of the 1911 pistol.
I had one when they first came out and it would blow the top half off a water filled 2 liter bottle.
I have the RIA Mapp pistol in 22TCM9R and it shoots great.
Ammo is fairly inexpensive at $40/100rds.
I was loading it when I had the 1911 when you could get the 40gr bullets. The 9R version is a little shorter with the bullet seated deeper so it will feed through a 9mm platform pistol.
I've been on a .22 kick with the Walther WMP 22 mag pistol, Ruger 57, Mapp 22TCM, and a Sig P322.
