Reposting due to last nights error.

Looks like I'll need to start reloading, but that will have to wait until spring.
I've been wanting to start, but this will give me an excuse.

I also found some Barnes VOR-TX 110gr ammo yesterday a t Midsouth Shooters for $158.74 for 100 rnds shipped.
It's still showing instock and just let me add 25 boxes to my cart.

That's pretty pricy. I only paid $25/box for the last 110gr Blacktip Barnes factory ammo I bought. Stuff is flooded the market at this point.

I check those sites a couple times a day. 300blk has been as scarce as .22lr for the past month or more. It's an odd hiccup in supply. Haven't seen any at Academy, Bass Pro, etc in a long time. LGS says he has it on order but will only come in when it's available which is... whenever. Just going to have to try your luck until supply starts catching back up.

Freedom Munitions has been annoying. They're only pumping out 147, 148, 150 grain FMJs. Those won't mimic the POI of any of the loads I care about, so I haven't bought any.

Factory VorTx all over the place ranging from $25/20 up to $33/20. Readily available, and has been for months. We are at "market saturation" and price is dropping hard. I just got an e-mail notification earlier this morning for $27/box at another place.

Yea, that stuff has showed up in the past week. Before that, all I could find was shitty Coopers lead boolit stuff, or a no-name person making 300blk with a premium bullet that I didn't want to risk. Then I started seeing PNW, and now factory Barnes.

$25/20 was about all I remember paying at Bass Pro / Cabelas. Happy to see it again. May wait to see how low it goes.

I paid $158.74 vs. $147.68 from your source. While I wish I would have seen the lower price before I ordered, I really don't feel that $.11 per round more is excessive considering I couldn't find it in stock anywhere for the past week.

    Now to get a scope.

    Nikon Scope for .300 BO

The PROSTAFF scope would work just fine on your Blackout rifles. In fact there is a PROMO going on right now so you could save a few bucks as well.
I have Nikon's P-300 BLK scope on my Blackout's and love it. One of my favorite features of Nikon scopes is the BDC reticle and using Nikon's Spot On Ballistic Program. Spot On makes it easy to enter your shooting data and get accurate shooting dope. The 2-7 magnification will be great for the situation's you describe. I plan on harvesting a few Tx. deer using my blackout rifles this year too.

As for ammo, it's finally showing up. I had a buddy give me some 147gr. ammo that shot 1 MOA. Not bad at all. The 125 gr. ammo I have shoot's .75. I haven't tested accuracy onthe 220 gr. Remington ammo I just found at a store. Bout all 15 boxes for $23 each. First time I have ever seen it in a store. Maybe prices will start to drop too.

I hope this info helps, drop me a note with any question's.
