For 55gr
.33/rnd for brass

.20-.25/rnd steel.

I won't buy at any other price. Worked out well so far but I also have enough .223 to sleep soundly.

And .40/rnd for 62gr 5.56 was average. I just never bought the stuff in bulk since its priced more and not allowed at most ranges

Ah, ok. I shot my previous employer's ammo for free for the past 21 years. I have no previous orientation on ammo prices.

Thanks for the heads up. As I'm new to 5.56 rifles, my little stock of 300 rounds is getting stretched to 1 or two 20 round mags a range trip till I can get some bulk together.
