80% lower transfer

Fellas, Im looking into getting an 80% lower. After I do the necessary work and use it for one of my uppers, can I ever transfer it to another individual? (lower only) or as a complete rifle? I really dont plan on ever getting rid of something, but just want to know if Im within the law to ever transfer it.

It sounds like you need to engrave it to a certain depth and other requirements if you ever sell it. Sounds like a pain in the butt to do and probably not worth the expense and hassle to sell it.
