GAT Bullets and Bayou Bullets sell great bullets and have some of the best customer service.

    Baton Rouge, LA.
Buy a 6 cavity Lee mould and cast all you will ever need. Tumble lube design eliminates the need for a lubricator/sizer tool.
Thier 9mm designs are very good and work well as cast and tumble lubed and the moulds are affordable. Buy bulk cast bullets when you can and cast your own when you have too.
Something to think about in panic times. I actually enjoy casting...it's a relaxing pastime.

Do you want excellent and accurate jacketed bullets? Montana Gold has some available. Precision Delta is worth checking as is Powder Valley.
Hohum plated bullets? Should be several sources, from the manufacturer to Midway, Grafs, and others--including Powder Valley.
Cast lead bullets? mastercastbullets.com, Missouri bullets, Penn bullets, Friendswood, Powder Valley.
Koted lead bullets? Bayou, Precision Bullets, BBI.
Do you want accurate or cheap bullets?

Just started loading myself recently. I like Bayou Bullets the most thus far and will likely keep using them for my primary bullets; no reason to switch. They great shooting, easy on the pocket bullets and Donnie seems like a cool cat. I would also like to pick up a few SD bullets and some decent/cheap fmj and/or hp bullets as well for the heck of it. Being new to reloading, I just have the itch to load different stuff. What're some good brands and sources?

Lead - GAT Bullets (Gary Thibodaux) is right there in Thibodaux.
Coated Lead - Bayou Bullets (Gramercy) or Ferrara Bullets (Baton Rouge)
FMJ - what ever and where you can find them.

Me - Cast my own and will soon be coating them myself

How much $ do you have in your casting & coating setup?

Here is what you would need to start from scratch and all prices are for new equipment. If you can find it used you can save some money.

Lee single stage press - $27
Lee push through sizer - $19
    Lee 2 cavity mold - $20
Lee lead pot - $32 you could use small cheap cast iron pot and a ladle on a crawfish burner.
Bayou Bullet coating - $35 Good for about 12-15K bullets
table top convection oven - $50
Lead (free for me) but can be found from $1lb shipped.
So for $184 ( price of a couple boxes of FMJ ) to get you started in 1 caliber. Then just add what ever other molds you need for other calibers with the associated Lee sizer and you are good to go.
