Let me start by saying that these were/are some ugly guns.
There are a few FCG options (such as Remington 870) for building these but I was bored and wanted to build something. I made a housing to contain AK FCG parts. I had everything here to do it with and went at it. From my count, 922r is good.
The kit with receiver blank.
The bolt has been converted from open bolt to closed bolt with a floating firing pin.
The slot for the blocking bar.
The front shroud has been welded to the receiver section.
I made an extension to bring the barrel up to the legal length.
These pics were taken after all of the testing was done and after finishing. The FCG is AK parts that have been modified. The grip frame is something I made using the original trigger guard and grip.
The new FCG housing pinned to the original.
All done.
With 71rd. drum and the infamous "shoulder thing that goes up".
