Fired it today for the first time on my mp15x. I absolutely LOVE it! From what I'd read I was worried it may be too loud to fire without hearing protection, but I wasn't uncomfortable with it at all! For a lot of firing I'd probably wear plugs, but I didn't have ear ringing without them. Sounds identical to my mp15-22. I'm ecstatic.

1000 high fives to Derek at big boy armament for making a dream come true for me! Couldn't be any happier.

Edit: follow the link to see a clip of it in action. It is the video titled s&w with AAC.

Yes that's the one I posted, however as you know it's hard/impossible to get across the true sound of a silencer in a video.

Yeah, I sure do. It's much different in person, but I really enoyed your footage! How would you compare the bolt gun with the m4-2000 to an Ar style rifle running the same can? Alot quieter? slightly? Hopefully I'll come across someone running a bolt setup like yours in the future. Would help me decide if I want to add a bolt .223 to the collection.

I have fired a bolt .308 with an AAC can. That was surprisingly pleasant to the ear.

Sorry to resurrect this, but what was your wait-time?

No problem bud. I think it went pending April 11th and cleared early July. Form 4 was in by mid July. I believe all the paper work was originally sent off at the start of March. So complete start to finish was around 5 months.

Part of me wants to whine, and part of me wants to be thankful that I have nearly 5 months to raise the $$ for the Noveske N4/VIS w/ SB and ACOG, lol.
