We’d like to start off by saying we here at Advantage Group fully support all constitutional rights, especially the 1st Amendment. That said, there are certain individuals on this forum and elsewhere who have publicly stated some things that Advantage Group can not, and will not align ourselves with. We are strong advocates of teaching civilians the skills and mindset they need to defend themselves, but teaching civilians advanced tactics with deadly weapons also comes with a great liability. In the current state of our nation, firearms and the 2nd Amendment in general are under great scrutiny. We here at Advantage Group have moral, and legal, concerns regarding training individuals who have openly and expressly supported things such as insurrection/violent overthrow of the US government, militia activities, or the killing of Law Enforcement and Military personnel. There are many examples of this here and other websites and forums. These things live on the internet forever, and do not go unnoticed. The Advantage Group will not be connected in any way to these individuals, or their beliefs and opinions.
There are only a handful of individuals who fall under this category. If you have to ask, you’re probably not one of them. For everyone else, we hope that you can understand our viewpoint and that this is not about a personal agenda or denying anyone’s access to defensive training. In fact, our primary concern is the long-term ability of Advantage Group to provide quality training to as many individuals as possible, without attracting any unnecessary or unwanted attention from the people and organizations that would love to see this type of thing cease to exist.
This is most likely a non-issue, as we've yet to encounter any of these types of individuals attending Advantage Group classes. However, we'd rather be up front about it should the day come.
