Obama Takes First Step in Banning All Firearms
On Wednesday the Obama administration took its first major step in a plan to ban all firearms in the United States. The Obama administration intends to force gun control and a complete ban on all weapons for US citizens through the signing of international treaties with foreign nations. By signing international treaties on gun control, the Obama administration can use the US State Department to bypass the normal legislative process in Congress. Once the US Government signs these international treaties, all US citizens will be subject to those gun laws created by foreign governments. These are laws that have been developed and promoted by organizations such as the United Nations and individuals such as George Soros and Michael Bloomberg. The laws are designed and intended to lead to the complete ban and confiscation of all firearms.

The Obama administration is attempting to use tactics and methods of gun control that will inflict major damage to our 2nd Amendment before US citizens even understand what has happened. Obama can appear before the public and tell them that he does not intend to pursue any legislation (in the United States) that will lead to new gun control laws, while cloaked in secrecy, his Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton is committing the US to international treaties and foreign gun control laws. Does that mean Obama is telling the truth? What it means is that there will be no publicized gun control debates in the media or votes in Congress. We will wake up one morning and find that the United States has signed a treaty that prohibits firearm and ammunition manufacturers from selling to the public. We will wake up another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that prohibits any transfer of firearm ownership. And then, we will wake up yet another morning and find that the US has signed a treaty that requires US citizens to deliver any firearm they own to the local government collection and destruction center or face imprisonment.

This is not a joke nor a false warning. As sure as government health care will be forced on us by the Obama administration through whatever means necessary, so will gun control.

I am not worried about this. American people are too heavily armed for the government to go door to door. It would be a blood bath.

Couple of points if I may.

a) This is a double post, currently running in at least one other forum on the site, and while Paul Revere was an appreciated figure in American History...running from forum to forum to "spread the news" is kind of goofy.

b) the article cited, via Reuters, is from 10/14/2009. Old news.

c) treaties do NOT get signed by the Sec of State. They must be ratified by the US Senate and are signed by the president (just can't bring myself to use a capital P with this guy in office ).

d) ALL that the Reuters article says is that Obama reversed the previous position held and endorsed by G. Bush. Hardly news that this would happen eh? And it's from 2009. Also...see C) above.

e) So the sky is not falling, internment camps are not being built, and it's probably premature, maybe, to head to the hills just yet. Maybe.

Thanks, I just read the headline and first paragraph and I was so mad my head about exploded, (That would've been something to see) and I forgot ALL of that stuff.

People, would you PLEASE verify that the sky is falling before you over react and scare the life out of us (me)?!? Just stop it! I was all prepared to die fighting these jokers. I'd rather do that than be a slave.

While you were watching the oil spill, the New York failed terrorist bombing and other critical crises, Hillary Clinton signed the small arms treaty with the UN.

Not possible, this is months and months old. And some international treaty can not usurp the Constitution. If they think so, let that little Brittwit girl or the UN come try to enforce it.

They won't try to do this all at once. They know that it would result in a country-wide armed revolt and many of the LEO's and Military would be on our side. A real bloodbath.
They will continue with incremental incursions on our 2nd Amendment rights.
The NRA under Wayne laPierre's coy management is becoming part of the problem. I have been a Life Member over 30 years but I won't send them another dime until laPierre is gone.

I just got an E-mail that Hillary Clinton signed the UN small arms treaty yesterday. Anyone know any more about this ?

Treaties have to be ratified in the Senate before the US has to abide by them.
