I know some of the people who are paying these prices. None of them are on this forum. This is a list the people I know who pay these prices
    1. The owner of an A/C and Elevator repair company
    2. The owner of a local chain of convenience stores
    3. A personal injury attorney
    4. An attorney for a petroleum company
    5. A trust fund kid from Uptown

These people have deep pockets and see the ammo flipper as nothing more than just another independent contractor.

It's also not the people shooting 10-30k a year in training or competition.

Dang. I’ve never paid more than 30 cents per round for XM 193 or 855. People think I’m lying when I tell them about half of my current stash came in at 16 cents per round, although it was many years ago. I’ve paid more for heavy .223 or defense/hunting loads but not for plinking ammo. These are sad times. Hoping for the best but I don’t feel like things will improve significantly for at least a couple of years. I’ve seen a few crunches dating back to the Clinton days but never this bad.

It’s there if you get lucky and are patient. Walmart has plenty of 22 for $3/$5 a box of 50.

I just got some 9mm a couple weeks AGI at Academy $12.99 blazer aluminum, $14.99 Winchester white box. The one in Gretna, & Harahan.

I have bought some, but not over this $14.99, this was the most expensive yet.

I don’t mind buying from a re-seller, he is spending his time waiting in line. He needs to be compensated. I’m not paying $1 a round. That’s what GunBroker is for.

I tried to beat this crowd, woke up early, got there at 6:30 am and there were 10+ people already waiting since 4am. Went home and back to bed.

Hmmm guess 3 hour wait isn’t bad if you mark up Bullets 3x the price... that’s like $100 an hour for waiting by the time they sell the bullets to sheep-people

The ammo I saw at Juban was steel case 556 for 229+tax for 500 rounds. They can probably double their money on it at $1/round. Still not a bad living if you can do that 3X a week buying 3 cases at a time. Comes out to about $150/hr., tax free, not including the time and trouble to sell it. Dunno if they have cases of 556 every time they get an ammo shipment in. I managed to buy 3 100rd boxes of 7.62x39 for 24.95/100, the 556 was long gone.
