Under previous residences, it asks how long you've lived at your current address... my initial response was to put 23yrs (my age & parents' house). After reading the next question, i thought it appropriate to list my current residence (parents) along with the handful of places i've lived throughout my time at LSU. After brainstorming, i came to realize that my answers to these 2 questions contradict one another.

I moved back to metairie in may 2008 after i finished my spring semester. Clearly i've lived at my current address for more than 10 months, but the answer to the question asked now becomes unclear. Often i'd move back to metairie for a summer job.

Should i just put 23 years anyway and list my addresses in baton rouge, should i subtract the amount of time i've spent in baton rouge from 23 yrs, or should i just put 10 months.

I don't want to look like i'm hiding anything, for there is nothing to hide; but ,as you all know, there's more than one way to skin a cat.

    any input is appreciated
    Thanks

only put the addresses that have appeared on your driver licences. if you lived in a apt. at lsu, but your address was still at moms house then dont bother.

that would make things easy... i have only had the metairie address on the license BUT my insurance has been through the baton rouge residences. Still only put one?

I'm very similar, I lived at a couple different places during college (5 1/2 years). I always kept my parent's house as my primary residence. Even when I returned to Baton Rouge and had my own apartment (2 years) I kept my parent's address. That was my first application - on renewal I was in my own home and I used that address. I considered every place that I've lived between a temporary / secondary home. I didn't have any problem listing just those two. I too used my college address for insurance on my vehicle (Lafayette is much cheaper than Baton Rogue) and it didn't cause any conflict.

I think you should just ask your CCW instructor to fill out the application for you. After all, as has been noted here before, he is supposed to earn his fee.

If he refuses to fill out your forms in a manner that is completely satisfactory to you, we have member here who will be glad to assist you in filing a complaint with the Louisiana State Police.
