Any 7.62X39 ammo in the Slidell area

I've been to several different places, Wal Marts, Academy and cannot find any 7.62X39. I tried calling the local gun stores but either they don't answer the phone or the number is not in service. Anybody have recommendations on where to buy some locally?

7.62x39 is grossly overpriced at any retail store. At Academy it's typically $5-6 a box of 20 (close to $350/case with tax), while you can order it by the case for ~$200. I'd wait until you can order a whole case and get almost twice the ammo for the same price.

Speed: I normally order online but lot's of places I use are out of all but Yugo in the spam cans. All the Wolf, Brown Bear and Silver Bear are sold out, lots of .223 though.
