We adopted my daughter in 1997. We were at the hospital the night she was born. She is almost 19 now. Working part time and going to college. I am very proud of the fine young lady she has turned into. The Best Decision we ever made. I always encourage it.
    Congrats to you.

To me, as a parent myself, I find it terrible how many hoops they make people who WANT children to jump through yet so many people out there...
Good to see these kind of things guys, you give a touch of humanity to people more than you know.

Thanks guys I appreciate it! We were very fortunate to go from the first phone call to start a home study, to bringing home a baby in less than a year. It was stressful and emotional, but in the end all worth it!! I highly recommend an independent adoption if anyone's ever thought about doing it.

My oldest son is adopted (he's almost 30 now). As a dad, I can honestly say that my feelings for him (pride and heart breaks) are no different than my feelings for my natural born children. Don't hesitate to adopt. It's one of the best gifts you can give to yourself.
