    Funny you mentioned the Witt brake. I was just reading this morning about one on a Remington 700 that got launched down range. It was a tapered barrel and care has to be taken that it clamps on along the entire surface area, not just "feels tight" since it can just be grabbing at the back end and not the front. Pressure will blow it clean off. The suggestion was to call Witt ahead of time with the exact measurements when you place the order and use blue loctite as per instructions. As far as clamp on brakes go they seem good to go, just install them properly.
