Any place in Baton Rouge sell Rock Island Armory 1911 pistols?

Does any gun store in the Baton Rouge area sell Rock Island Armory .45 1911s? I'm interested in getting a 1911 and I do not want to spend much. I have read lots of great reviews about them.

Thanks, I checked BJ's Pawn shop and they had 9mm Rock Island 1911s but they did not have any .45 1911s.

I know Hebert does, but last time I saw them they were overpriced about 20%

The 9mm version at BJs Pawn was $539. I do not know exactly what models they had.

I saw that they had Remington and Citadel and Academy, but I did not notice the Rock Islands. But then again, I didn't look too hard for the 1911s the last time I was at Academy. I will check again.

I e-mailed Armscor, who makes both the Rock Island and the Citadel 1911s, trying to get more info on the Citadel. What they told me is that the Citadel 1911 is the same as the Rock Island 1911 Tactical model. Academy has the Citadel 1911 for $540. Here is the e-mail that Armscor sent to me.

We are the manufacture for Citadel but we do not own that brand, you can checkout our website and look at our tactical models which are pretty much the same model with a slightly different slide and logo.
