Guys, the first proto-ECQC class was run outside of Lake Charles back in 2004. Ferrell, a good friend & the class host for the TX class, was there. I helped run damn near every ECQC class for the first two years. That has nothing to do with the ECQC class. If you want an ECQC class in LA, that's easy. Get a range squared away and I'll get with Craig.

Duck, it sounds like you looked at the video clip on running the P'kal. Do your own research and you'll find plenty of information about SouthNarc and about the program.

    Here's the reply back he sent me;

    Hi Dustin,

The cost for 20 hrs. of instruction is $450. The class prices are the lowest we can offer. I hope you can make it out. All of the military and LE folks that have taken the class found it to be well worth their efforts to participate. In the College Station class earlier this year, we had about 40% of the class military or LE.

    Take care,

    Ferrell

Here's the info. I send out for any PUC or ECQC class inquiry.

Here is my information for the October class.

I am proud to announce and host ShivWorks and their excellent PUC and ECQC 1&2 class on October 28-30 at the Impactzone range. The range is West of Houston, near Katy. Friday will be the PUC (practical unarmed combat) class from 6-10 PM. Saturday & Sunday will be the ECQC 1 & 2 class from 9 til about 5 PM. SouthNarc will be teaching these ground breaking classes, so don't miss a chance to train with this outstanding instructor. The concepts taught & practiced in these classes are very practical and directly applicable to CHL holders as well as law enforcement personnel.

You may take the PUC class as a stand alone class, for $100. If you take ECQC 1&2, you must take PUC. The cost is $450. You can secure your slot by mailing a 50% deposit to:

There are class outlines & gear requirements in the training section on the ShivWorks site (PDF files below). There are also DVD's and knives designed by SouthNarc on the MOA Armory site.

If you have any questions about the training requirements, gear etc...., feel free to e-mail or call 832-606-4549
    to discuss.

I look forward to training with you.

    Take care,

    Ferrell

Gomez, thanks for the kind words.

    Hi there,
I'm hosting the upcoming ecqc class. There are a lot of student AARs on different forums and
videos from previous classes available online. DVDs are also available online. Those can give you
an idea about it, but the experience is where its at. It's like reading about a rugby match,
attending a rugby match, and playing in a rugby match. The intelectual, emotional, and
physical investment is different in each, as is the experience.

If you can make it out to TX in Oct. , about 5 hours from Baton Rouge, that would be well worth your
time. We may run a vehicle drill, as well as a carjacking evolution.

If y'all can host an ecqc class in LA, that would be great. I would be interested as well.

I have a little more news. We are going to have a ShivWorks VCAST( Vehicle Combatives and Shooting Tactics) class in TX next year. The ECQC class is the prerequisite for attending VCAST. I found an AAR for VCAST on M4: http://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?p=1101850
The VCAST class is offered even less than his AMIS, only a couple of times a year. I know it's a bit of a drive over to the Impactzone range, but it's closer than driving to OKC next spring.

FYI, The class is about half full.
