One is a widely used platform with a proven track record, the other is the APX.

It's not a difficult decision if you are concerned with reliability.

Smith might be closer, but...

Beretta is Italian, and they made that sweet m9 that the military chose over all others.

Not sure if the the trigger is better on one vs the other...

Mags will be more available for the Smith.

Probably more other accessories for the Smith too, holsters, bags, t shirts, fanboys, etc.
