So I'm trying to help a buddy get the parts to build an AR. Other than Brownells, Midway, and JSE. What are some other good sites to look at for some? He's not looking for something uber bad ass

    Thanks

Gunbroker man, if your looking for a blaster barrel they can be had for under 100 shipped, also sportsmen guide has them for under 100 again only if blasting!! if you want a cold hammer forged that will last 30k rounds and still put sub-moa then you will be paying alot! or you can always build a 5.45x39 AR all you need is a different bolt (not CG), and some thermold 20 rounders or some special made mags, but the ammo is still available and for decent prices still, also you can get this barrel for cheap!

Yea two of my buddies just want to use cheaper barrels. I may send them that way

Try black hole weaponry (spelling?). I do not have one (yet) but I have heard really good things.

I saw those and could't find a lot of reviews. Only one on Enos forum

One of my buddies is going all out. He was looking at Lilja barrels. Ritten have you heard of them. I told my friend to call WOA and see if they would do a 18" for him. What do you think oabout Criterion barrels? Brownell had a 18" the other day. Now it looks like all they have is 20". I like my Lothar Walther myself.

I have no experience with Lija, but would follow WOA's recommendation on any AR barrel. Those guys know their stuff. I've seen some Criterion barrels flat out shoot and even built a .300wm for a customer with one that would put 5 shots touching at 300yds with one. 20" is the way to go if you plan to shoot out to 600yds.

I just used a barrel from sota arms. It was really cheap. This particular rifle isn't built for high accuracy, just a truck gun so as long as bullets come out the other end it's good for me.
