Hi all, looking for opinions and sources.
A couple years back when the ammo panic hit I'd just bought a RIA 1911 in 10mm and, surprisingly, just about the only ammo in ample supply was 10mm. I bought a crapload at some decent prices and bought more later so now I have 2 craploads that I'll never shoot from a single stack pistol so I'm thinking about a pistol upper in 10mm. I've seen the Olympic arms 16" upper but so far nothing in 10-12". I've looked a little online at some sub $1000 uppers with BCG from a couple of companies but I can't decide what would would work best for me.
I'd really like to concentrate my search on one that can utilize a standard AR lower and has the best magazine options. Nothing too fancy. A 10-12" barrel, flat top upper with a standard front sight is all I'm looking for. Just throw on a Magpul hanguard set and call it a day.
Anybody here have experience with this creature and willing to share?
