Looking at picking up some mags, either ProMag or Thermold.

Just curious if anyone has any experience with these, good or bad that I should be aware of before purchasing.

    Thanks.

When I bought my AR a couple of months ago I decided to pick up an extra mag as well. All they had was Promag and I didn't know any better... Junk, IMO. It doesn't always feed right and there is no rhyme or reason to it that I can find.
I have since picked up some USGI mags that work great. The junk mag just sits there because I can't make myself use it as a target yet.

Why in Sam Hill would anyone ever go purposely LOOKING for ProMag or Thermold???

I accidentally picked up a couple at the gun show where I got my AR before I knew any better and as soon as I got to looking at them I just gave them away.

Backorder some pmags from Brownell's. I have 100 on backorder. If you are mil or leo the discount is huge. I only have PMAGS for 223 and would prefer to fire nothing but PMAGS and Lancer L5's. I just think the Lancers will start turning that dingy nasty color all clear plastic stuff does.

    What he said.

Unless he's looking for them to turn a profit when the ban comes around. If that's the case, more power to ya.

Pmags are neat... regular ole USGI metal mags have been working for 50 years just fine, they take up less room and are cheaper too. Just my opinion
