AR only fires every other round

I have already fixed the rear sight because of shoty workmanship and now I see they installed the dust cover pin wrong. I don't have the tools to fix everything so I'll have to find someone in Mobile, Al to help.

Sounds like you oughta pull the whole thing apart and start from scratch. No telling what else is waiting to fall apart-- perhaps even catastrophically.

Got my tools in and took apart the upper. The barrel was showing two freaking threads. I put everything back together and FULLY threaded the barrel. Went to a test drive. 200 rds without a hitch.

Would still be good idea to headspace it. 1996 wasn't exactly the year for garage built AR's from god knows what parts.
