Truth. It's got a good barrel (FN) and decent BCG, everything else is cosmetic or fixable.

you will just need a lower. they have the blemished lowers for$50 with free shipping still.

If you get anything from PSA labeled premium, or PSA (not ptac) it will have an FN barrel which is hard to beat. If you order the SC lower that is $149 those lowers are made by FN also, so you could have a full FN (metal wise) AR for cheap...all my build are based off PSA parts. Except for my Noveske I have.

I have 3 ar's that I built from psa. 300blk ar22 and a 9 mm ar. All work fine and I haven't had any problems with their products.

I had a PSA lower, worked well. For hog hunting, ever considered a little more bang per shot, like a 6.8 SPC or 300?

I have three PSA rifles in my locker, so you can guess what I think of PSA.

I do recommend to buy a complete upper, a complete lower, then add the other parts...you'll get the best price and quality that way usually if you shop their sales.

Example, right now they have a complete classic lower for $130, not a blem or PTAC, a premium built lower...can't beat that price.

Also, a 1-4x or 1-6x scope and heavier (68g-77g) ammo would be good for hogs.

My original AR is the DPMS Oracle. It does the job on hogs.
Just built a new one of various manufacturers parts, Spike's, Daniel Defense, Wilson Combat for the metal works. And the BCG is the PSA top of the line mil-spec.
