How much are you looking to spend? Free-Floated?

Yankee Hill Machine - Most economical - But some don't like the design
Daniel Defense - Free Floated and Non-Free Floated - Omega rail requires no modification of weapon
Larue Tactical - A bit more expensive than the others, but has a good product and great following
    .
..just to name the top guys

Just finished researching this myself. What's your budget? Daniel Defense, Larue or Troy are supposed to be the best but are in the $250 range.

I personally went with YHM, seems like decent stuff and good value. I'd say realistically if you stay away from the bottom of the barrel (UTG) anything will be fine.

in that price range, you're looking at YHM or MI. I prefer the latter in terms of aesthetics.
YHM quads are all under $100 on Brownell's with dealer price "cheat".

I got the YHM customizable FF tube, flip front sight/gas block, FF tube end cap, DPMS AR multi-tool and a couple Accu-wedges for under $200. :D

Ordered a Larue on Monday and it shipped out today yes kinda pricey but it is going on a LMT 14.5 w/ a permed vortex so I wanted the best and since i got an 11 incher on my reece I needed a 7 on my m4 clone.

Don't you need to have the rail installed before you pin the Vortex. If it's already on there the DD Omega is the best option.

There is someone selling a Midwest carbine rail in the classifieds on here right now for $100, I'd snatch it up if I were you.

thank you, I was really wanting a free floated rail. How much will the non free floated rail affect accuracy?

I have the 2pc Midwest on my duty gun, it shoots great. I trust my life and the lives of others to it, so take that how you will.

When I do my SBR I'm getting a free float, just cause I can and like the looks or the continuous rail surface. For the money that 2pc is a great system, when I first bought my gun I was on a budget and paid about $100 for them on the Arfcom EE
