Three thoughts come to my feeble mind.
Did he get along with his mother-in-law?
How bad is her luck? Should she get tested for leprosy?
Should have used a 10 on the dillo. Withholding judgment on the mother-in-law.

But honestly something is not up to snuff with the story. When I was a kid I killed an armadillo with a pump 177 pellet in the back. The pellet must have hit the backbone. It fell over and our bulldog quickly put it out of it's misery.

    1. Who REALLY gets along with their mother-in-law?
    2. Horrible. She lives in a trailer next to her daughter and son-in-law
    3. Leprosy is probably the least of her worries. COPD will get her long before the leprosy will.

I think it's a combination of a crap round (9mm) combined with a series of random happenings. Karma? Maybe.

Deputies say the bullet killed the armadillo, but bounced off the animal, hit a fence, traveled through the back door of the mother-in-law’s mobile home and the recliner in which she was sitting, striking her in the back.

That's what I was thinking. Of all the variables, there was an infinite number of places that bullet could have ended up. My first thought after reading the details was "damn, she had that coming." :o

That one got me too. Wonder if the press got the distance wrong?

It didn't say he shot the dilla at 100 yards! It said; he said; he was 100 yards away "while shooting" at the dilla.

I concluded that dilla and dumbass were BOTH 100 yards from trailer. If my assertion is correct, that bullet had more magic in it than the one that hit Governor Connelly and Kennedy! ;)

Forensics should look for powder burns at the entrance hole of the trailer! :p

Ahh, you're correct. Guess I read it too fast. :dogkeke:

But that makes it even more questionable. Those things usually don't fare well against .22 CB Caps. Or so they tell me. :p

The only questions that should be asked are:

Why did you shoot your mother-in-law?
Is your wife (M-I-L's daughter), that stupid (to believe such a cockamamie story)?
Is it customary in this part of Georgia for authorities to accept such lines of ******** for rednecks shooting their M's-I-L?

He may of actually killed a armadillo or picked one up from being road-kill
and threw it down as proof of dumbassery?
