Thanks guys, it brought back memories of my hunt and the times I used the 300Win mag especially since this year I did not get to go on a hunt. Hoping to go on one next year, and in fact back to the Apache National Forrest in Arizona again.

Great Article thanks for sharing with me and others. I have just bought a TC Pro Hunter in 300 win mag I have not shot it yet also have Model 70 winchester in 300wsm I have not shot in a very long time due to having handicaps Which one would you consider to have the heavier recoil with stock loads I beleive the bullets I have for the wsm 180 power ponts

I love my .300 Win Mag. In Mississippi, I shot my first rack buck with it. Hit it in the neck. The damage was so bad, it couldn't be mounted. So, I elected to mount just the antlers. But I love that bullet.
