Ascension Parish Blue Laws- Beer & Crawfish

Just got invited to an impromptu crawfish boil this morning.

Going to need beer before noon. Are the blue laws still in effect everywhere? Ascension parish?

Apparently my interweb skills suck because I could not find the answer...

I didn't realize Ascension Parish had any blue laws.

I don't think it did when I was living there in the '70s

I've never heard of anything like that in Ascension and I worked at a convenience store for about 5 years.

I grew up in Texas in the 60's/70's...damed blue laws made no sense then and even less today.

East Baton Rouge parish had that but I think it was repealed. You used to just go to a neighboring parish, like Ascension, where you could buy whatever alcohol you wanted.

Ascension is good to go. Any city, parish, state, or country that has time limits on when a person can purchase alcohol is useless.
