Why only permits issued after March 9th 2015? Seems like a dumb way to ruin a good idea. Did they recently change the requirements for CHPs or something?

Perhaps they are afraid that people with permits from further back magically turned into felons and will use the old permits to evade the useless and redundant background check. I can't wait till I have to renew. Then I can just fill out the stupid form that will mold and mildew over the years and not wait for the 323rd background check. I guess I am in perfect health since I have had a lot of background checks. What a great to waste waste our tax dollars!

Great theory but what about a year or two from now. Same "problem" all over again.

LSP is supposed to be doing NICS background checks now. Kinda along the similar idea behind not having to call one in on a suppressor that is on form 4 to individual vs entity.
