Me and a friend caught a young otter years ago while out in middle of pine timber with no water for miles. Figured I’d relocate him to the amite river. Was in my dad’s 74 1 ton truck that had the tool box on the side of the bed behind the cab. Chased it down an pinned it with a forked stick and we quickly put in the tool box. Fetched up a fish net and got to the river and developed a plan that my friend would open the door and I’d have the net ready to catch it , kids being kids having to handle it a bit more. Door came open, caught the thing in the net, and that thing chewed thru the net instantly and latched itself to my inner leg and the dance was on. It bit thru my jeans, drew blood and hauled butt

Not sure if I would have been able to avoid that bite either

You're lucky it wasn't after any trouser trout?

I've helped raise a couple. Otters and Beavers are really super sweet and cute, very social, love to play (especially otters). Otters would be tough to keep at sexual maturity, but possible. The problem is WLF kicking in your door and vet care because some vets will confiscate and/or kill wildlife that you bring in for care.

    Definitely need a pool....

I'll take the job! I'm married, so you don't have to worry about me bringing over a girlfriend and letting your kids get away with things. I'm a Marine Corps veteran, so I will enforce your house rules. I can start as soon as you need.
